“Anna Schulze is a refreshing update on the singer/songwriter. She plays electric guitar, sings from the heart, and brings energy and passion to the stage. She simmers and shimmers somewhere between power pop and emo rock, and her melodies evoke the great American summer…” ~ Glen Ballard

Anna Schulze is a multi-faceted songwriter, producer, and artist.

Her music has been featured in dozens of television shows like Grey’s Anatomy, Station 19, Virgin River, All American, Batwoman as well as major ad campaigns and trailers (Apple iPhone 11, Disney’s “Launchpad”, “Pig” featuring Nicholas Cage, “Control Z” on Netflix, “Gentleman Jack” (HBO), and “Veneno” to name a few). As an artist, Schulze’s songs echo raw themes of freedom, irreverence, and vulnerability. In 2021 she released her third studio album that she self-produced and mixed titled “Break Your Heart, Keep It Open” which was reviewed as "not just a kaleidoscopic thrill ride between genres or an exemplar of confessional songwriting, it’s a flex." Aside from her prolific solo work, Schulze collaborates frequently with other artists, writers, and composers. In 2017, she teamed up with Maia Sharp to form their duo Roscoe & Etta. Their first single “Broken Headlights” went Top Ten at Triple A radio, and the duo has opened for Lissie, Dispatch, Mt Joy, Wood Brothers, and more. Schulze has a forthcoming EP slated for 2023 with Ryan Marshall (of Walk Off The Earth) for their new collaboration together, titled Vic Moon.

Schulze graduated from University of Southern California where she studied Popular Music and also worked with mentor, Glen Ballard (Katy Perry, Alanis Morisette, Michael Jackson). You may have also heard Schulze’s alter ego, genevoise, lull you with her French comptines (and “A la Claire Fontaine” featured in the Netflix film “Icarus”).
